“Why am I here” is a celestial question about existentialism. On the other hand “Why are people here?” is a sublunary contemplation about spatiotemporal intelligence. In our explorations of space and time, we could not find a single definitive source that could answer the question “how many people are in your city today, what are their movement patterns, and what is the impact to the community”.

 

CityData was founded in October 2020 to solve this problem. We are headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, with presence in major cities worldwide: Houston, Mexicali, Bogota, Porto Alegre, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Bangkok, Singapore, Mumbai, and Varanasi.
